The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway. Proverbs 15:9
Imagine that you are in a forrest walking through thick overgrown thorn bushes for over two miles. Imagine how slow you have to walk and how bad it would hurt getting pricked every move you made. When you got to the end of the two mile journey through the thicket, you realized that 50 feet away from you was an opened clear pathway through the forrest the whole distance. What took you 12 slow hours in thorn bushes with sweat, blood and tears, would have taken 30 minutes if on the cleared path. This is a picture of how life is for the sluggard. It is slow and painful. A sluggard wants to do things his way and has no time to learn from others. On the other hand, the path of the upright is like a cleared highway. It is easy for an upright person who is willing to learn and change. An upright person lets the word of God determine every life choice. May we turn from being prideful sluggards and listen to the instructions of the Lord. Have a great day. Love ya
