If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” 2 Peter 2:20-22
These words scare me. I hope they give you the fear of the Lord. How many of us have known the Lord but went back to the bondage of sin? I write this to you so that you will see the severity of turning your back on God. There is hope! God says that if you will confess your sins and turn from them that God is faithful to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Do not perish apart from God when he has made a way for you to have life to the fullest. May we continue to hold fast to the Creator and Lover of our souls. #timetochange #lifeundertheson
